Welcome to Shema Congregation!
We are a fellowship of believers in Yeshua (Jesus) the Jewish Messiah of Scriptures who are dedicated to studying Hebraically and believe in equipping our members for active ministry.
“Shema” is the first word in what is translated “Hear oh Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is One” This is what was declared as the Torah, which contains the Law, given to Moses was revealed to the people. It’s considered the holiest blessing in Scriptures.
hear, understand, obey are the three definitions of shema–you can’t shema without all three. And you aren’t expected to do any of them without the other. In other words, if you do not hear you will never understand or be able to obey; if you hear and obey only, you are lacking understanding and are legalistic; if you hear and understand but do not obey you are accountable.

Mission Statement:
Shema Congregation is dedicated to equipping the Church, the grafted in members of the Romans Olive Tree, with what is needed to provoke the Jewish people to envy. It is only as the Church comes to understand what it means to worship the Jewish Messiah, and how that calls us to live, that Jews who do not yet know their Messiah will desire to know Him the way the Church does. This will bring about fulfillment of the Olive Tree prophecy found in Romans 9.
